Screaming Females share “Ancient Civilization” ahead of Singles Too release
Screaming Females is getting ready to release Singles Too, a compilation of their complete non-album recordings. Before the whole collection of early 7” singles, digital-only b-sides, and covers is out, the New Jersey band has shared a third and final track from it, “Ancient Civilization.” (We’ve already heard “Let Me In,” and “Pretty Okay.”)
“Ancient Civilization” first appeared on Screaming Females’ 2013 7″ split with Wisconsin punk band Tenement. When the single was first released, SPIN described it as a “gnarly slab of brooding rock with bleakly metallic tendencies and a fiery shred-storm in its mid-section.” Listen below to find out why.
Singles Too is out this Friday, October 18, on Don Giovanni Records. Order it here. Screaming Females plays the Championship Bar in Trenton, NJ on Oct. 20 with Dusk.
