Mattress Food expands their sound on new Adventures in Technicolor LP

Mattress Food just released Adventures in Technicolor, their debut full-lengh as a four-piece band. The project of songwriter Sami Rahman, Mattress Food began as a solo endeavor before growing into its current lineup with Wallace Gerdy on guitar and piano, Paul O’Connell on bass, and Adam Figurelle on drums.

Their first full-band EP, Slap City, came out earlier this year, and featured reworkings of some of Rahman’s solo songs. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jon Sambrick at Thornwall Studios, Adventures in Technicolor takes advantage of Mattress Food’s new group dynamic, allowing each member to contribute to the fuller rock sound.
