On the first 25 O’Clock Podcast of the new year, host Don Drago sits down for a conversation with Mark Brown and Rob Tait of Hambone Relay. The Philly jazz/funk/psychedelic trio released their third full length album Say Hi To Earl last year.

As it turns out, Brown and Tait are podcasters themselves, so they and Drago have much to discuss. When they’re not playing with Hambone Relay, the two musicians host the Philly music-centric show, Dude, Check This Out!, which highlights up-and-coming artists in the local scene. Throughout the nearly hour-long conversation the band also brings up topics like DIY touring, how their shows can sometimes get lengthy, and what they don’t teach you in music school.
