Central Pennsylvania is getting a new live music venue this winter.

Settling into the site of the former Point of View Cinema in Millersville, Phantom Power is slated for a late winter opening, according to a report at Lancaster’s LNP news daily. The first announced show features headliners Heart Bones, a collaboration between Har Mar Superstar’s Sean Tillmann and Sweet Spirit’s Sabrina Ellis.

The venue is the project of Gregg Barley, who previously booked Lancaster’s Chameleon Club and Tellus360, and he contrasts his new venue to those spaces in his conversation with the LNP’s Kevin Stairiker: “The vibe is a little darker,” explains Barley. “It won’t be as soft and bright as a lot of places that have opened recently.”

However, he said he wants to maintain the inclusive and welcoming vibe of his current gig at Tellus, which he holds down through this weekend: “What I’ve learned there is very special. They’re doing it right — it’s pretty cool seeing a 21-year-old sitting next to a 61-year-old at a show.”
