Philly rapper Meek Mill makes his big screen debut this year in Charm City Kings, a new film by director Angel Manuel Soto. Based on a story co-written by Moonlight director Barry Jenkins, the movie follows the story of Mouse, a 14-year-old boy from Baltimore who wants to break into the city’s Midnight Clique group of dirtbike riders; Meek plays Blax, a biker who takes Mouse under his wing.
Watch the trailer below. The film will be released by Sony Pictures Classics, premieres at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27th, and then moves to select theaters on April 10th
