During Fawziyya Heart‘s recent visit to the XPN studios to film a Key Studio Session, the Philly singer-songwriter and her band found some time to produce some of their own behind-the-scenes content, which she just posted to her Facebook page.

Shot by Dean Myers, the video captures a performance of the song “Hands Up,” from Fawziyya Heart’s EP Living Here to Change, interspersed with commentary from Faz and her band members, including Sonni Shine, Anam Owili-Eger, Barbara Duncan, Darryl Bennett, Ken Vincent, and Eli Monroe.

“I create music for old soul millennials to feel loved and empowered when they’re feeling less than themselves,” Fawziyya Heart says in the video. “I make music just to make people feel good when they’re feeling down…it’s just uplifting music.”

Watch the video below and listen to Fawziyya Heart’s full Key Studio Session here. Fawziyya Heart plays Kung Fu Necktie on March 9 with Camp Candle, Jennifer Hall, and Emily Drinker. Find more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
