Don Giovanni and Home Outgrown both announce Instagram Live festivals
In the time of social distancing, live music is quickly finding a way to go on, and some members of the local music community will be hopping on the livestreaming bandwagon in the next few days to share some virtual tunes.
Local DIY promoters Home Outgrown Presents have lined up some of their favorite artists to take over their Instagram for three days of HOP TV. The event goes live this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET with The Weak Days and Coping Skills, and continues on Monday and Tuesday with more bands. The full lineup is still being put together, and you can email [email protected] if you want to join in.

On Monday, New Jersey label Don Giovanni Records will be fighting the quarantine blues with Going The Distance, an all-day online festival streaming live on their Instagram.
Starting at 1 p.m. ET, 20 artists from across the label’s roster will perform music, comedy, and “who knows what else” from the comfort of their homes. Downtown Boys, Worriers, Teenage Halloween, and Jeffrey Lewis are just a few of the folks on the lineup, which is expected to run until at least 11 p.m.
