Elison Jackson shares upbeat, yet unsettling new single “Caught One In The Jaw”
Like many artists, Elison Jackson has been forced to cancel their spring tour plans. The Philly-based garage folk band was going to release their new single before heading out on the road this month, but they’re still sharing it digitally so we can enjoy a new tune while hanging out at home.
The new track “Caught One In The Jaw” is a studio recording of a song the band first produced as live video a few years back. Singer-songwriter Sam Perduta’s somber, twangy vocals mix with the band’s signature folkish instrumentals to build a melody that’s somehow both upbeat and unsettling.
“Caught One In The Jaw” is the first of three releases Elison Jackson plans on putting out this year. Stream and purchase the single below via Bandcamp.
