Scantron wants to escape overload on “The Information”
Philly garage rock band Scantron just shared a previously unreleased song, “The Information,” that feels especially timely right now. The high-energy single was written and recorded in 2017, but we can all relate as James Everhart sings, “I cannot look at my t.v, although it’s sitting right in front of me / all of these numbers on the screen, they’re always blinking, always blinking, always blinking…”
“If you can’t trust the information you’re getting or if you’re getting too much and it’s driving you nuts — then you’ll understand this tune,” Everhart says of the track, which is out now as a Bandcamp exclusive. “The Information” follows Scantron’s latest EP, Electric City, which was released last month.
