New Philly band Alexxis and The Medicine hasn’t officially released any music yet, but shortly before the quarantine they were able to shoot some high-energy live videos of a few upcoming singles that will be out later in 2020.

Singer-songwriter Alexis Cunningham, who’s originally from West Virginia, is joined by a backing band made up of veteran members of the Philly scene, including Dan Schwartz of Danny Black and Good Old War, Arjun Dube from Trap Rabbit, and Bo Rains from The Sugar Pops.

Shot by local filmmaker Skyler Jenkins and mixed by Eric Bazilian of The Hooters (who gave Cunningham a shoutout in his Checking In episode last week), the videos capture Alexxis and The Medicine live in the studio, as they play two of the band’s spirited roots rock songs “My Drugs, Your Money” and “The Medicine.”
