Courtney Marie Andrews celebrates cross-generational womanhood in “It Must Be Someone Else’s Fault” video
Country singer/songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews has recently released a music video for “It Must Be Someone Else’s Fault,” the third single from her upcoming album, Old Flowers. Previously released singles include “If I Told” and “Burlap String.” Andrews’ previous full-length release was 2018’s May Your Kindness Remain, a gorgeous album steeped in pure Americana that was hailed by many outlets, including NPR, as one of the best of the year.
The music video for “It Must Be Someone Else’s Fault” is an ode to femininity and womanhood. Centering around Andrews, a young girl, and an elderly woman, the three women dance to Marlee Grace‘s inquisitive and intimate choreography.
Pre-order Courtney Marie Andrews’ Old Flowers, out July 24th on Fat Possum Records, here. The record was initially set to be released on June 5th, but was delayed “to ensure that independent record stores across the country will have physical copies of the album available at the same time it’s released digitally,” according to a recent press release.
