Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties release bonus cover of Springsteen’s “Thunder Road”
Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties are rewarding fans with a bonus live track shortly before their live album release. Anyone who pre-saves their upcoming Live From Asbury Park record on Spotify will receive a free instant download of a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Thunder Road,” featuring Catherine West-Garner.
The performances on Live From Asbury Park stem from two shows in December 2019. Campbell says, “Last December, we did two sold out nights in Asbury Park. We recorded the shows with the intention of putting a few live videos up for people who couldn’t make it to Jersey but we ended up being so happy with the recordings that we decided to release the entire record.” Per the Aaron West Twitter account, “The version of Thunder Road that Catherine and I did in Asbury Park isn’t on the live record but we heard you asking for it so we got it mixed and are sending it out for free.”
Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties is the side project/alter ego of The Wonder Years frontman Dan “Soupy” Campbell. Described as a “character study conducted through music,” Aaron West played a series of solo shows before their first full band tour in 2017. Their first full band UK tour was recently postponed to the spring of 2021.
Live From Asbury Park will be released on July 31. Pre-save the album on Spotify here for a “Thunder Road” download.
