Liz Phair brought a career-spanning set to her XPNFest Weekend livestream performance. All the way from her home in California, the celebrated singer-songwriter, joined in split-screen by her guitarist, started off with two songs from her now-iconic 1993 debut album, Exile in Guyville.

She called the older tunes a “blast from the past, and super fun to play,” but was equally eager to let us hear a few new songs from her forthcoming album, Soberish. She closed with her first-ever live performance of the new record’s great title track. Soberish‘s release date is TBA.
