Watch Great Time’s XPNFest livestream set from their home studio
Electronic pop band Great Time took the virtual stage last month for XPNFest with a livestream performance from their living room, surrounded by amps, recording equipment, wind instruments, and all kinds of effects pedals to craft their signature sound.
Great Time’s 25-minute set featured two songs from their 2018 debut LP, Great Album, as well as two singles. Singer / flautist / saxophonist Jill Ryan spoke a little bit between songs, but preferred to save the bulk of their energy for extended jamming with bandmates Zack Hartmann and Donnie Spackman.
This virtual full-band performance is a precursor to Great Time’s upcoming drive-in concert. On August 21, they will be performing with blues rock guitarist Greg Sover and his band at People’s Light in Malvern as part of a series that also includes ILL Doots, Colebrook Road, and the John Byrne Band.
