Watch The Districts’ socially-distanced and masked-up XPNFest livestream set

Indie rockers The Districts brought a half-hour, seven-song livestream set to this year’s virtual XPNFest Weekend, featuring tracks from 2017’s Popular Manipulations and this year’s aptly-titled You Know I’m Not Going Anywhere. The band members performed in masks, via separate video feeds in different rooms of their north Philadelphia studio.

The performance was interrupted partway through “The Clouds,” when vocalist/guitarist Rob Grote’s video feed spontaneously cut out. Audio transmission of “If Before I Wake” continued as normal, but in lieu of a video stream of the band’s performance, viewers were treated to watching The Districts play a game of cards.
