Jasmine Cassell’s swaggery “Burnin’ Up” is the latest release on Astro Nautico’s Atlantics X campaign

The latest release on the Astro Nautico Atlantics X campaign, South Jersey singer/songwriter Jasmine Cassell‘s “Burnin’ Up,” is a smoky-smooth disco track. We’ve covered a handful of songs released on the Atlantics X series earlier this summer, including tracks by Kingsley Ibeneche, Savan DePaul, and KillerWhale. Atlantics X is a mutual aid campaign “benefiting community members impacted by COVID-19:” all revenue generated through the project is gathered into a fund to assist those who have been impacted by the pandemic.

“Burnin’ Up” bounces along effortlessly. Jasmine Cassell’s vocals sound unbothered and unencumbered, full of swagger and confidence. Lee Clarke’s production matches Cassell’s vibe flawlessly, featuring an endlessly catchy bass line and retro synth stabs. As the summer winds down, the heat is turned up a notch, a feeling perfectly encapsulated by Cassell and Clarke’s collaboration.
