Oldest Sea shares an ethereal, emotionally-charged new single, “Darkshore”
Oldest Sea is back with their fifth single this year, “Darkshore.” The solo project of New Jersey singer-songwriter Sam Marandola, who collaborates with her husband Andrew Marandola, Oldest Sea debuted in 2017 with Sage Burner.
Following the release of last year’s Orange Glow, Oldest Sea has continued to make haunting, psychedelic folk, and has shared a new song each month since March.
The five-and-a-half minute “Darkshore” is charged with emotion yet vocally sparse, as Marandola sings with drawn-out vocals, “I don’t think we know / Just how long we have to go.” Listen below.
