The Dawn Drapes talk travel, friendship, and “Oxygen” on the newest episode of 25 O’Clock podcast
25 O’Clock podcast host Dan Drago says he enjoyed local rockers The Dawn Drapes before hosting them on his show, but talking to the duo on the podcast “only made [him] dig them more.”
Drago and the duo discussed the band’s background in a variety of locations — from Virginia to Los Angeles to Philadelphia — as well as their experience working with co-songwriter Daniel Rice’s brother, the noted producer and songwriter Johnathan Rice. They also talk about the friendship that ties the band together.
“If you’ve paid attention at all to anything going on musically in Philadelphia over the last couple of years, their name has definitely come up,” writes Drago. “I managed to catch Daniel and Michael one afternoon, right before they were heading out to record (safely, of course). It was a great talk.”
The episode also dishes about the duo’s latest release, the hopelessly romantic single, “Oxygen.” The track dropped at the end of July and is available on all major streaming platforms.
