Wilco preps expansive reissue of 1999’s Summerteeth with demos, live tracks and more
Legendary Chicago-based alt-country outfit Wilco will release their third album, 1999’s Summerteeth, on November 6th. The re-issue, split across five LP’s or four CD’s, will feature a brand new remaster (helmed by Bob Ludwig) and an assortment of previously unreleased demos, outtakes, and live performances (which vary across the CD and vinyl editions). The remastered versions of the title track, “Summer Teeth,” and “She’s A Jar” is currently available for streaming.
The reissue’s liner notes will also feature a new interview from John Mulvey with frontman Jeff Tweedy, as well as other band members. Jeff Tweedy is also releasing a book in October, titled How To Write One Song: Loving the Things We Create and How They Love Us Back; his son Spencer is similarly releasing Mirror Sound: A Look Into the People and Processes Behind Self-Recorded Music in October as well.
