Bandcamp compilation featuring Phoebe Bridgers, Alex G, Sharon Van Etten, Sylvan Esso, and dozens more

Dozens of singers, songwriters, producers, and bands are releasing a compilation album, titled Good Music to Avert the Collapse of American Democracy, full of “new songs, covers, remixes, live versions & unreleased demos.” The project is made up of 40 tracks total, each one featuring a new artist or collaboration.

Artists featured on the release include DJ’s like Flume and Tycho, the experimental hip-hop trio clipping., Ben Gibbard (and Death Cab for Cutie), Philly-based singer/songwriter (FKA (Sandy)) Alex G, and a slew of other artists featured heavily on WXPN’s airwaves (Angel Olsen, Courtney Barnett, Weyes Blood… the list goes on and on).

The catch? The compilation album is only available for one day: today. Like the compilation’s name suggests, all of the proceeds from this album will be donated to Fair Fight, a Georgia-based voting rights organization, founded by Stacey Abrams. In addition, a limited-edition poster designed by Shepard Fairey will be sold alongside the album, and all proceeds from the poster sales will be donated to Color of Change, the nation’s “largest online racial justice organization”.
