The first official Beatles book since the 2000 release of Seminal Anthology is set to be published in August 2021. The book, The Beatles: Get Back, is a companion to a feature documentary of the same name and release month.

The book features unpublished images as well as conversations from over 120 hours of recordings from the Let It Be studio sessions. The unseen images and conversation tell the story of the creation of their 1970 album, Let It Be

Novelist Hanif Kureishi writes in his introduction, “In fact this was a productive time for them, when they created some of their best work. And it is here that we have the privilege of witnessing their early drafts, the mistakes, the drift and digressions, the boredom, the excitement, joyous jamming and sudden breakthroughs that led to the work we now know and admire.”

The book gives a behind the scenes look into The Beatles’ last year as a band, with direct perspective from the group during the three weeks of recording the album as well as their final rooftop concert.
