David Bromberg will celebrate his 75th birthday with a livestreamed virtual concert from Arden Gild Hall
Wilmington singer-songwriter icon David Bromberg will celebrate his 75th birthday this Saturday, September 19th. To mark the momentous occasion, the singer/songwriter will play a virtual concert with his band, the David Bromberg Quintet, performed at Arden Gild Hall and presented by WXPN. In addition to the regular ticket option, the VIP tickets include a full-length interview hosted by Jeff Daniels, acclaimed actor and musician, with the music starting at 8pm EST.
Instead of using his 75th birthday to reflect on his storied, decade-spanning career, Bromberg wants to be “right in the moment,” sharing his craft with the world. “I never look back,” Bromberg said, in a recent interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I don’t find that productive.”
Bromberg’s latest album, Big Road, came out earlier this year, released as the David Bromberg Band. Joining Bromberg on the record and at the livestream are Mark Cosgrove (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Nate Grower (fiddle, mandolin, guitar vocals), Josh Kanusky (drums, vocals), and Suavek Zaniesienko (bass, vocals).
