Sharon Van Etten releases 2015’s “All Over Again” to streaming
A fan favorite Sharon Van Etten track, “All Over Again,” has finally received a full, digital release. “All Over Again” was initially released on a limited edition 7″ vinyl in 2015, and though the singer / songwriter has performed the track at many live sets, it has never been available to purchase or stream outside of the exclusive physical release.
“My 7” ‘I Don’t Want To Let You Down’ had a b-side that was never digitally released — until today,” Van Etten wrote in an Instagram post. “I Don’t Want to Let You Down,” the a-side of the 7″, is the title track of Van Etten’s 2015 EP, I Don’t Want to Let You Down, which contained a variety of songs cut from her 2014 record, Are We There.
“All Over Again” is a slow-burning ballad that packs an emotional punch similar to any a-side she’s released. A throbbing kick drum contrasts Van Etten’s gently lilting calls to “do it all over again,” while the influences from Are We There are evident in the slow, guitar-driven production. “‘All Over Again’ is a deeply personal song written during the Are We There sessions,” she wrote in the aforementioned Instagram post. “Broken hearted years ago and driven to find true love, it’s hard to believe I was ever there when I look back now from such a fulfilled space. I’m humbled to share yet another vulnerable moment with you.”
