Watch Philly’s Pink Sweat$ deliver a stripped-back performance of “At My Worst”

Philly native Pink Sweat$ has honed a distinct sound over the past few years. His smooth R&B is catchy, with just enough hints of percussion to keep a stripped-back form, and his rich vocals are vulnerable yet float seamlessly with soul.

This week, he’s sharing a livestream performance for Variety‘s video series Live From My Den, recorded in the Los Angeles apartment he’s called home of late. We got a taste of that set today in this performance of “At My Worst,” which takes the track back a notch in a piano ballad form, showcasing the beauty in Pink Sweat$’ voice.

“At My Worst” is one of the standouts tracks off Sweat$ recent EP, The Prelude. It moves to ballad-style arrangements, nearing the dreaminess of a lullaby, but gets a slight kick from R&B and hip-hop elements that accompany his emotive voice.
