Secret American celebrates Boot and Saddle in their new “Shadows in the Sunshine” video

Bi-coastal rock outfit Secret American released their sophomore LP Heavy Feels back on November 6, and they just shared a music video for the album opener “Shadows in the Sunshine.” 

The song features the trademark elements of Secret American’s blended sound of indie-soul, classic rock and indie-rock with their own modern twist. Drawing on its title, the track shines with sunny, bright guitars and falls back into a relaxing groove with distant vocals and stacked harmonies.

Moved by the news of local venue Boot and Saddle’s closing last month, the band compiled videos playing at the venue from 2018. They spoke solemnly about the loss of the beloved venue to COVID-19 via their Instagram: “We loved playing here & watching other bands play… B&S always was a great time with great sound.”
