JJ Tiziou’s West Philly concert series finds a new home on Zoom with Ximena Violante, Sarah M and more

West Philly visual artist and community organizer JJ Tiziou is no stranger to hosting shows — his living room folk concerts have been a favorite of the community for over a decade. But since he can’t gather audiences in person, Tiziou has announced an upcoming series of virtual concerts on Zoom.

The first virtual concert will take place this Saturday, January 30, and they’ll continue monthly through April. Performers will include local artists like Ximena Violante of Interminable, poet and interdisciplinary artist Husnaa Haajarah Hashim, and singer-songwriter Sarah M., as well as others from around the country.
