Slaughter Beach, Dog will play two virtual shows, shares Townes Van Zandt cover
After surprise-releasing a new album, At The Moonbase, on Christmas Eve, Slaughter Beach, Dog has announced two virtual shows next month on NoonChorus to celebrate.
As a preview, singer-songwriter Jake Ewald shared a solo cover of Townes Van Zandt’s “If I Needed You.” “This is one of the first Townes songs I heard,” Ewald says, “And, as I’m sure is true for a lot of people, it has never really left me alone. It is also the song that made me want to pick like Townes. Still working on that one…”
The first show on February 13 will feature a solo performance at home, and will be followed by a full band performance at Ewald’s studio The Metal Shop on the 14th. Find tickets here.
At The Moonbase is streaming now and physical copies are available for pre-order from Lame-O Records.
