Cigarettes for Breakfast will play a livestream gig to raise money for Ortlieb’s this month
Cigarettes for Breakfast is hosting a livestream fundraising event at Ortlieb’s on Saturday, February 20 to celebrate the anniversary of their self-titled debut EP which came out last February. They’ll play the EP in full to raise money for the beloved Northern Liberties venue that, like countless independent music venues across the country, is struggling to survive the pandemic.
“Ortlieb’s is a really special place for us,” Cigarettes for Breakfast’s Matt Whiteford shares. “We’ve all played countless shows there in various bands over the years and it’s where I got my start doing live sound and sound engineering… Just a really solid small independent venue all around.”
Revisit the Cigarettes for Breakfast EP below and find tickets for the donation-based livestream show here. You can also support Ortlieb’s winter fund drive by shopping the venue’s merch store. Last month Cigarettes for Breakfast released their newest single, “Wait” — listen to that and read more here.
