Syd makes solo return with new single “Missing Out”

The Internet’s Syd is back for the first time since 2017 with a new single “Missing Out.”

Although Syd hasn’t released music of her own in over three years, she hasn’t completely been absent from the music scene with features on numerous projects over the years including Drake, Kehlani, Beyonce, Lil Uzi Vert and more.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, “Missing Out” isn’t a declaration of passion for another, but instead an uplifting track with acknowledgment of self-worth while reflecting on a past relationship: “But you’re missing out / You’re missing out / Bet you want me now.”

Syd’s return comes in the typical fashion of her solo work, soulful with her voice smooth and soft over R&B synths and a slow drum beat. Check out the new track below.
