Lizdelise shares the introspective “Fire” from new Body EP, signs to Sheer Luck Records

Lizdelise will release a new EP, Body, on March 12, and just shared a new single “Fire,” along with a music video. The Philly trio led by singer-songwriter Liz De Lise also recently signed with the New York-based indie label Sheer Luck Records, which highlights diverse and marginalized artists.

The songs on Body explore De Lise’s experience with body dysphoria and their journey to self-acceptance. Two tracks, “Sweet” and “Take It,” were released last fall. “Fire” in particular deals with the songwriter’s “struggle to communicate who they are to the outside world, and the social anxiety that results from it,” according to the label. “I was trying to be smooth and cool like sea glass,” they sing.
