Watch Jazmine Sullivan play “Pick Up Your Feelings” on Kimmel

Performing from an empty ballroom and wearing a seriously great coat, Jazmine Sullivan joined Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week to play a song off her new EP Heaux Tales. Accompanied by a band and backup singers, Sullivan’s soulful rendition of “Pick Up Your Feelings” easily fills the grand, empty space.

Philly native Sullivan has had a busy 2021 so far. Heaux Tales came out in January, and she performed the National Anthem with Eric Church at this year’s Super Bowl. Sullivan recently talked to Philadelphia Magazine about growing up at Philly and how she hopes Heaux Tales shows that women are multidimensional, and in a behind the scenes mini-doc of her NAACP Image Awards performance, Sullivan talks about how her hometown gave her her “grit.”
