Mia Giovina’s debut single, “Sirens,” explores what it’s like to outgrow your hometown

As TikTok continues to grow more and more popular, its impact on music as a whole is still yet to be seen. For singer-songwriter Mia Giovina, TikTok has given her a bigger platform than she could have imagined, allowing her to connect with people through creative covers of popular music and short snippets of her original music.

Her debut single, entitled “Sirens,” cements every expectation that Giovina’s fans and followers have expected. It’s a heartfelt, lush song. Her skilled vocal performance layers itself overtop of guitar, piano, and a string section. Beautiful harmonies build themselves up around the song’s straightforward, heartfelt lyrics. As it’s explained in a press release, “Sirens” is about growing up and moving on.
