Roger Harvey covers of John Prine’s classic protest song “Your Flag Decal Won’t Get You Into Heaven Anymore”

Back in January singer-songwriter Roger Harvey wrote and released “What a Weird Hill To Die On” to express the complexity of the United State’s political climate. Keeping that same energy, he’s released a cover of John Prine’s classic protest song, “Your Flag Decal Won’t Get You Into Heaven Anymore.” Though the song was written 50 years ago, its message still resonates, reflecting on the blind and often heartless patriotism of many modern Americans.

All proceeds made from the cover will go to the Pennsylvania Immigration & Citizenship Coalition (PICC), a grassroots organization that fights to further immigrant rights through education and voter registration.
