This Earth Month, Philly indie duo Rubber is hosting Root Rot, a climate-focused livestream event at Bartram’s Garden to spread awareness about what we can do for our environment.

The event will feature live performances from Rubber, GentleJawns, and Dante Robinson, plus cooking and gardening demonstrations and panel discussions on food sovereignty and youth activism. As well as raising awareness about climate action initiatives, the event will raise money for Bartram’s Garden’s youth internship program, which provides paid opportunities to high school students in Southwest Philadelphia.

The name of the event was inspired Rubber’s upcoming single, “Root Rot.” They’ll celebrate the new release at the show.

Stream the event Friday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. on YouTube. RSVP and make a donation here.
