Questlove announces his new book, Music is History
Questlove has announced that this October he will be releasing a new book, Music is History. This marks the sixth book that the multi-talented artist has written, following up titles like Mixtape Potluck, Creative Quest, and Mo’ Meta Blues.
The book will take a look at the last 50 years of history and how music plays a role in each year from 1971 to present. As the description on Questlove’s website says: “Music is History moves fluidly from the personal to the political, examining events closely and critically, unpeel and uncover previously unseen dimensions and encouraging readers to do the same.”
Music is History is available for pre-order over on Questlove’s website. The book is due out October 12th, but will be followed sometime that same month by an audiobook version with narration and commentary by Questlove himself.
