Watch Lovelorn’s moody cover of Billie Eilish’s “i love you”

As Philly-rooted, Austin-based darkwave duo Lovelorn preps for their debut full-length release this August, they’ve released a cover of Billie Elish’s “i love you” from her 2019 debut LP WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO. 

The cover comes with the recent news of Eilish’s sophomore album Happier Than Ever, out July 30. On Lovelorn’s cover, Pat and Anna Troxell add their touch of dark electropop to the track while maintaining the emotion and minimal instrumental presence of Eilish’s rendition.

They also teased via their Instagram that there is more to the live set and it might land in the laps of listeners. Check out the cover below.
