UgLi seeks a sense of self in new single “Bad Egg”
Philly via South Jersey punk / power-pop four-piece UgLi is surrounded by shiny and glimmery elements in their latest video “Bad Egg.”
This shine exists both in the guitar-heavy sound that unfolds around lead vocalist Dylyn Durante as she sings to her reflection, examining the mirror to try and find a sense of self: “I don’t know who I was before / So much time has passed just waiting for that moment / And I’m searching through reflections.”
The latest track is a preview of their next EP FUCK which is to be self-released June 18. The project will showcase the band’s ability to shift in and out of punk, alternative, and pop-punk genres while maintaining the intrinsic quality of lyrical vulnerability and guitar-lush sounds that make up their music.
