Kamasi Washington will headline The Met Philly this fall
Celebrated saxophone player, songwriter, and band leader Kamasi Washington is going on a short run of tour dates this summer and fall that brings him back to the stage of The Met Philly in October. He last played the North Broad Street venue in 2019 opening for Herbie Hancock; this time, he’ll headline on Wednesday, October 20th.
Washington’s fourth studio album, Heaven and Earth, was released in 2018; he’s embarked on a few collaborations in the years since, including last year’s Dinner Party project with Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, and 9th Wonder.
