Zo revels in a dangerous romance in new video for “Never Meant”
Philly pop / rock artist Zo captures the consequences of a whirlwind romance with the wrong person in her new music video “Never Meant.” As polaroids fall to the floor and wine bottles get smashed, it illustrates how dangerous love can be. The single is one of two tracks already released from the band’s upcoming EP, Dark Hallways, which will be out on October 29.
Directed by Andrew Krysinski and Gina Zo, the video shows Zo’s transformation from clean-cut to completely unhinged. When the video starts, she’s seen clutching a book and wearing overalls; by the end, she’s running through the subway station sporting dark lipstick and a devil-may-care attitude. Cut with shots of the band performing the track on a rooftop overlooking City Hall, the video has a cinematic quality to it that mirrors the made for the movies romance she sings about.
