Sug Daniels brings her folk solo project and positive energy to CART Music’s session series

Sug Daniels, the songwriter behind R&B powerhouse band Hoochi Coochi, performed a live video session for CART Music, which premiered January 2nd. The short and sweet video features Daniels on the ukulele and bandmate Rebel Natty on the guitar performing two intimate songs from 2021’s EP Franklin St. 

Daniels opens with “Heavy,” the softly strummed heartbreaker about the kind of friendship when two people are “cosmically connected.” The second tune, “Back to Love,” describes a range of emotions and how it’s necessary to return to a loving feeling.

As a recent Philadelphia transplant, Sug Daniels will be an unstoppable force around town this year, just as she was in Wilmington with Hoochi Coochi. Watch the video for CART Music below.
