RedTouchBlack premieres new video for “Pick Your Poison” with an all-star hard rock cast
South Philly hard rock comes up north in RedTouchBlack’s new music video for “Pick Your Poison.” Directed by Bob Sweeney, the video shows the band’s four members sharing beers and chatting with their friends at Fishtown’s The International Bar, a local watering hole for musicians. The warm gathering is cut with shots of RedTouchBlack performing in front of a green screen, which is manipulated and distorted to match the grunge and fuzz of the song.
“Pick Your Poison” is the third video from RedTouchBlack’s self-titled debut LP, which was released last June. The other two videos, for songs “Snow Girl” and “Scorched Earth,” were also directed by Sweeney, who uses analog equipment such as Super 8mm film alongside digital cameras and software to create his videos. “Pick Your Poison” also features cameos from other local musicians and creatives in the scene; watch to catch glimpses of punk rock band UgLi frontwoman Dylan Durante, photographer Shannon Sophy of Sad Punk Press, and High Reeper vocalist Zach Thomas among many others.
Barring any more show cancellations due to the Omicron wave of COVID-19, RedTouchBlack’s next live show is with Grocer and Heaven Man at Milkboy on January 22nd. Tickets and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar. Watch the link below for the video for “Pick Your Poison.”
