One of the last big Philly concerts before the 2020 pandemic lockdown was from alt-country faves Drive-By Truckers, who headlined Union Transfer just weeks before the world changed. The band ventured back out on the road last fall, and on April 30th will play their first proper Philly show in two years at the Brooklyn Bowl chain’s new Fishtown location.

The news came this week as the Truckers announced their run of rock shows for the spring — mostly contained in April, it finds Patterson Hood and his bandmates playing a week’s worth of homecoming dates at Athens. Georgia’s legendary 40 Watt Club, then snaking around the midwest, up the east coast, and into Canada. Check out the full dates here; other regional plays include April 21st at Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center and April 29th at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

Tickets for the Brooklyn Bowl Philly show go on sale this Friday, January 28th at 10 a.m.; tickets and more information on all these shows can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar. Since that Union Transfer show, Drive-By Truckers released two albums, The Unraveling and The New OK. Watch music videos from each below.
