Mandy Moore’s new album ‘In Real Life’ features members of Dawes, Lucius and more; listen to the title track
Singer-songwriter Mandy Moore released her sublime sixth album Silver Landings right at the top of the pandemic in March of 2020, and after over two years of tour dates being shuffled around and re-scheduled, she is back today with a firm 2022 tour itinerary — and news of another new album.
Moore’s seventh album, In Real Life, comes out on May 13th via Verve Records (pre-order it here) and it once again finds her teaming up with producer Mike Viola, with her husband Taylor Goldsmith and his Dawes bandmate Griffin Goldsmith playing on the record, as well as Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius and more.
In a press release, Moore says the new album is about learning to be present in the moment while imagining the future you want, and says that the title track, out today, is “all about staying open, staying aware, staying sensitive and empathetic to the people around me. There’s something about expressing myself through lyrics and melody that makes me feel whole, and I see it as a privilege to have that outlet.”
Take a listen below, and check out Moore’s newly announced tour schedule for 2022 — her previously announced Atlantic City stop on Saturday, June 18th at the Music Box at the Borgata is part of it, tickets and more information on that show can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
