Courtney Barnett has announced her own music festival, Here And There, a traveling festival with a rotating star-studded lineup curated by Barnett herself. Philadelphia’s Japanese Breakfast, Lucy Dacus, and Waxahatchee made the lineup as well as Sleater-Kinney, and Bartees Strange. The local date on August 12 at Harrisburg’s XL Live features Lucy Dacus, Faye Webster, and Caroline Rose.
“When I was a kid I would make mix-tapes and dream up my own festivals,” says Barnett. “I’d even design the t-shirts and pair up musicians for iconic collaborations.” And through the years of her career in music, she’s supported the discovery of a number of different artists whether it was through her own Melbourne-based music label Milk! Records or curating two days of Sonic City Festival in Belgium in 2019.
Now, with “Here And There” — which gets its name from her song “Scotty Says” — Barnett took an opportunity to showcase even more of her favorite acts on stage alongside her for this summer tour.
“It’s always been important to me to share the stage with people that I admire and artists that inspire me, which is why I’m so excited and grateful to announce this amazing lineup,” says Barnett.
