Lexington, KY folk combo The Wooks were in town on tour this week for a Wednesday night gig at City Winery Philadelphia, and before showtime, they swung by WXPN studios for a round-the-mic performance and chat with WXPN afternoon host Dan Reed.
The band talked about making their third record Flyin’ High, about their musical roots, and how artists like Billy Strings and Yonder Mountain have turned on a whole new generation to bluegrass and opened up doors for groups like them.
