Philly singer-songwriter Christina Ward is on track to release her new record Calendar this fall via New Jersey label Mint 400 Records. The first single of the same name is out now, and features Ward’s breathy vocals shrouded in atmospheric layers of synth and reverberating bass.

“Pulling out the calendar to sell a new start,” she sings as the song builds to its haunting chorus. The flipping of the calendar is just one of the allusions Ward makes to the mysteriousness of the passing of time. “Retelling tales of the dark days catching up” reminds listeners that summer is fleeting, and short fall days are approaching.

“Calendar” is Ward’s first new music of 2022, and her new album — due October 21st — is the emerging artist’s debut full length. Christina Ward plays The Barn in New Hope on September 9th; details and more information can be found at her Instagram.
