We’re three hours away from game four of the 2022 World Series, with the Philadelphia Phillies taking on the Houston Astros at Citizens Bank Park at 8:03 p.m. We’re up 2-1 in the series, and while now is not the time to get cocky, it’s also tough to contain the excitement in the air — and a team of Philly music all-stars is helping fuel that.
Back in 2008, Philly’s Don McCloskey put together a crew called Guerrilladelphia and released the song “Unstoppable” to cheer the team on to victory. 14 years later, they’ve updated the track with clips of iconic Philly sports moments like Harry Kalas calling the Phillies World Series win, the Eagles’ Jason Kelce making his famous “no one likes us, we don’t care” speech, and building out the roster to include some new friends for the new version of the song.
The band is now comprised of McCloskey on guitar and vocals, rapper Kuf Knotz, drummer Chuck Treece, bassist Tom Spiker, guitarist Ross Bellinoit, organist Adam Flicker, vocalists Sarah Biemuller, Hannah Taylor, Ali Wadsworth and G. Love, with beloved brass band SNACKTIME taking the energy even higher.
