Get ready for a high-energy summer night at The Mann Center: alt-rock royalty Beck and modern indie hitmakers Phoenix are going on a dual headlining tour this year, and the run comes to the gorgeous Fairmount Park amphitheater on Friday, September 8th.

Beck’s 14th studio album, Hyperspace, was released in 2019, and in the years since then he’s collaborated with Gorillaz and Paul McCartney in 2021; Phoenix last year made waves with their lively seventh album Alpha Zulu, and continues side jaunts in movie scores — hear them talk about making the music for Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled in this 2017 World Cafe interview.

In addition to indie dance band Sir Chloe opening the night, acclaimed songwriter Natalie Laura Mering — aka Weyes Blood — joins the Philly date of the tour. Weyes Blood’s And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow came in at number 16 on WXPN’s Best Albums of 2022 MEGA LIST, and they play a pair of sold out Union Transfer shows this September.

Other dates of the Summer Odyssey Tour find Beck and Phoenix teaming up with Jenny Lewis and Japanese Breakfast; full dates can be found in the flyer below, and get details on the Philly show at the WXPN Concerts and Events page.
