For this month’s Artist To Watch, WXPN is spotlighting five new emerging talents who have all been selected for our Black Opry Residency, a creative development project that aims to help five Black Americana artists build sustainable careers and broaden their audiences.
This week, these artists are visiting WXPN from Nashville, Boston, and Philadelphia to participate in a week-long residency where they are co-creating project activities, receiving one-on-one and group mentoring, and showcasing their work through a capstone showcase project performance for the public on March 24.
During the visit, each artist is invited onto the WXPN Morning Show with Kristin Kurtis to chat about their music and perform live on-air.
