Paper Bee, the singer-songwriter project of Nick Berger, announced a new record with the emotionally complex and tender single “I Don’t Talk To You,” out now. Members of All Dogs, Yowler, Radiator Hospital and more fill out this talented lineup of musicians and friends, who in true Philly DIY fashion, all lived together for a time.
“This album is a lot of things for me,” says Berger in a press statement. “I did my first shot of testosterone 2 days after we got home from recording … it’s the last documentation of my old singing voice which i loved a lot, as story about love and harm between traumatized trans people, a project that kept me going in 2020, and just some songs that are really fun to play with my friends.” Give “I Don’t Talk To You” a listen below, and listen to Thaw, Freeze, Thaw when it comes out on May 19th.
